Hvilke opgaver får jeg som tillidsmand?

Dine opgaver er blandt andet at:

• være brobygger mellem medarbejdere og ledelse
• medvirke til en god trivsel på arbejdspladsen
• støtte dine kolleger i samtaler med ledelsen
• samarbejde med ledelsen om personaleforhold
• fungere som sparringspartner for ledelsen
• forhandle vilkår

Tillidsmanden er coach og forhandler
Den moderne tillidsmands rolle er coachens og forhandlerens. Som tillidsmand bygger du bro mellem medarbejdere og ledelse med det sigte at skabe god trivsel. Det handler om at skabe gode relationer til både kolleger og ledelse, så grunden er lagt for et godt samarbejde. Stadig flere vilkår bliver forhandlet og aftalt ude i de enkelte virksomheder, og derfor har tillidsmanden også en vigtig opgave som forhandler.

Bliver jeg uddannet til at være tillidsmand?

Finansforbundet støtter dig, og du bliver uddannet til at tackle de udfordringer, du vil møde. Tillidsmandsuddannelsen giver dig ECTS point, som du kan bygge videre på senere. På uddannelsen lærer du blandt andet:

• forhandlingsteknik
• coaching
• kommunikation
• ledelse
• arbejdsret
• overenskomstforståelse

Arbejdet som tillidsmand kan minde lidt om et lederjob, men det er klart, at du først og fremmest er kollegernes repræsentant.

Hvordan får jeg tid til at være tillidsmand?

Det tager selvfølgelig tid at varetage tillidsmandsopgaverne. Det er der sørget for, at du kan få.

Du har ret til - med fuld løn - at gennemføre Finansforbundets uddannelse for tillidsmænd. Du har også ret til at få tid til at klare dine tillidsmandsopgaver i arbejdstiden. Det er sikret i overenskomsten.

Er jeg beskyttet som tillidsmand?

Tillidsmanden skal kunne være tryg ved at sige sin mening og give ledelsen modspil. Derfor er tillidsmanden særligt beskyttet. Det betyder, at arbejdsgiveren ikke kan afskedige en tillidsmand, med mindre der er tvingende årsager til at gøre det.

Går min karriere i stå, hvis jeg bliver tillidsmand?

Tværtimod – tillidsmandsuddannelsen og de erfaringer, du opnår, kan du bruge aktivt i din videre karriere. Som tillidsmand skal du tage ansvar, træffe beslutninger, være i dialog med beslutningstagere, forhandle og mægle mellem chef og kolleger. Og det er kvalifikationer, som i høj grad efterspørges på arbejdsmarkedet - både i og uden for finanssektoren. Og så har du inden for systemet rigtig gode muligheder for at gøre karriere i Finansforbundet.

Kan jeg blive tillidsmand?

For at blive tillidsmand skal du opfylde nogle formelle betingelser:

• Du skal være medlem af Finansforbundet
• Du skal have været ansat i mindst et år på din arbejdsplads på valgtidspunktet
• Du må ikke være leder af en afdeling
• Du må ikke være i en opsagt stilling
• Du må ikke være elev

What are the tasks of a union representative?

What are the tasks of a union representative?

Your tasks include
• Building bridges between employees and management
• Contributing to psychosocial well-being at the workplace
• Supporting your colleagues in discussions with management
• Cooperating with management on personnel matters
• Serving as a sounding board for management
• Negotiating terms and conditions

The union representative is a coach and negotiator
The modern union representative’s role is to be a coach and negotiator As a union representative, you will build bridges between employees and management in order to ensure a good working atmosphere. This is a matter of creating good relationships with both colleagues and management, laying the foundation for sound cooperation. More and more terms and conditions are negotiated and agreed out in the individual companies, where the union representative also plays an important role as negotiator.

Do I need to be trained as a union representative?

Financial Services Union Denmark will support you, and you will be trained to tackle the challenges you will meet. The union representative training will earn you ECTS credits, which you can build on later. The training will cover such topics as:
• Negotiation skills
• Coaching
• Communication
• Leadership
• Employment law
• Understanding collective agreements

Working as a union representative may seem a bit like a management job, but obviously you are primarily your colleagues’ representative.

How will I get the time to serve as a union representative?

There is no doubt that union representative tasks take time. And you can be sure that this time will be available.

You are entitled to full pay while you take Financial Services Union Denmark’s union representative training. You are also entitled to be allowed time for your union representative duties during working hours. This is laid down in the collective agreement.

Do I have special protection as a union representative?

A union representative must be free to voice his or her opinion and to challenge the management. For this reason, union representatives are given special protection. This means that a union representative may not be dismissed by the employer, unless there are compelling reasons to do so.

Will my career come to a standstill if I become a union representative?

On the contrary, you can make active use of the union representative training, and the experience you gain, in your ongoing career. As a union representative, you will be required to take responsibility, take decisions, engage in dialogue with decision makers, and negotiate and mediate between managers and colleagues. These are skills and qualifications that are in high demand in the labour market – both within and outside the financial sector. Once you have gained a footing in the system, there are ample opportunities for a career in Financial Services Union Denmark.

Can I become a union representative?

You need to fulfil certain formal conditions to be eligible for election as a union representative:

• You must be a member of Financial Services Union Denmark
• At the time of the election, you must have been employed for at least one year at your workplace
• You may not be a department manager
• You may not have received notice of termination
• You may not be a trainee
